Coaching for people navigating breakup, separation, or divorce. Resolution is possible, and you have more options than you think. Grounded in lived experience and the Alberta family law landscape.
You have more options than the noise around you suggests.
Resolution is the goal, and there is usually more than one path to it. My job is to help you see them clearly, weigh them honestly, and choose the one that fits your life, your family, and what you want on the other side of this. Grounded in Alberta family law context. Built from lived experience.
Why Rooted Rebuild
The goal is never to escalate. The goal is to resolve. Together we explore the paths that lead there, from quiet agreement to formal mediation to legal process, and choose the one that fits your situation best.
Transparent pricing, packages that fit real life, sliding scale and pro bono spots reserved every month, and six languages spoken. Access is not an afterthought here. It is built into the practice.
I am a change management consultant who walked this road personally. Multiple lawyers, six figures in legal fees, and a long detour before I realized the most valuable thing I could do was learn the system myself. I now offer what I learned the hard way, so you do not have to. Read my story.
Services
Three service lines, working together. The goal is the same throughout: helping you see your options clearly, understand every document in front of you, and choose the path most likely to bring resolution with the least harm and the most possibility on the other side.
Every plan is built with care to ensure your statutory legal rights are preserved.
Primary Service
One on one coaching for people exploring their options after a breakup, separation, or in the lead up to a divorce. Together we map what is possible, what fits your life, and how to move forward with intention rather than reaction.
Specialty Service
Mediation is often the fastest, least adversarial path to resolution. I do not provide mediation directly. I prepare you to walk in ready, and refer you to a highly accredited, neutral mediator with deep experience in conflict and family mediation.
Practical Service
Before you sign, you should understand. Whether it is a separation agreement, a parenting plan, a court order, or a draft from the other side, I work through it with you in plain language. For self-represented litigants, I help you understand what you need to file and how, so you can prepare your own documents with clarity and confidence.
The Whole Path
Coaching is not where the work ends. When you engage with Rooted Rebuild, you are not just buying hours. You are stepping into a structured support system designed to carry you through the transition and into what comes next.
A personalized plan, built with you during our work together and evolved as your situation changes. Practical, written, and yours to keep. It tracks where you are, what comes next, and how you get there.
Warm introductions and curated referrals to psychologists with cultural and religious sensitivity, matched to your background and needs. Because emotional support deserves the same care as legal preparation.
Connections to support groups and community programs where you can hear from others walking similar paths. You are not the first to navigate this, and you do not have to do it alone.
Directed introductions to programs and practitioners focused on inner rebuilding, identity, and recovery after a major life transition. The legal work is one chapter. The whole-person work is the rest.
When you work with me, we walk the whole path together. From clarity, to resolution, to a real plan for rebuild.
Working With a Lawyer?
Legal counsel is expensive. The more you understand the law and the system you are inside, the better the questions you ask, the clearer your instructions, and the more value you get from every hour you pay for.
This service builds your working understanding of family law in Alberta, so that when you walk into your lawyer's office, you arrive informed, prepared, and ready to direct the conversation. Your money goes further. Your time is used well. Your decisions are yours.
Even with all my credentials, I was not sure what "without prejudice" meant, or what its implications were in law.
That is exactly why this practice exists.

My Story
My day job is change management consulting. I work on global projects across multiple industries, helping organizations and the people inside them navigate transformation. It is structured work. Methodical. Deeply rewarding.
Then it was my turn to navigate a transformation of my own.
I went through multiple lawyers. I spent over $100,000 in legal fees alone. I trusted that paying for expertise would protect me through a system I did not fully understand. For a long time, I let other people drive a process that was, ultimately, about my life.
It was only when I started representing myself that things shifted. I had to learn the Alberta family law system from the inside, the way the rules actually work, where the real leverage points are, and where I had been misguided along the way. I learned what I should have asked. I learned what should have been flagged earlier. I learned every trick of the trade, by necessity.
Honestly, I wish I had done it from the very beginning.
This is not a story about lawyers being wrong. A good lawyer is irreplaceable for legal advice. This is a story about what happens when you do not understand the system you are inside, and what changes when you do. Clarity is the difference. Understanding is the difference. Being able to ask the right questions, recognize what is happening, and make decisions from a place of agency rather than dependence: that is the difference.
Rooted Rebuild is the practice I wish had existed for me. A way to offer everything I learned the hard way, before you have to learn it the same way. To help you understand the system so you can use it well, work with your lawyer effectively, protect your statutory rights, and move toward resolution with eyes open.
This is not legal advice. I am not a lawyer. I am a change management consultant with credentials, lived experience, and a commitment to making this kind of clarity genuinely reachable.
Why I Do This
Six things I came to believe by living this. They shape every part of how this practice runs.
This is the practice I needed and could not find.
It is now the one I am offering.
Credentials & Foundation
This work draws on more than a decade of professional practice in helping people and organizations navigate change, layered with the lived experience of having walked through a major life transition myself. Both matter. Together, they are the foundation of how I work.
Professional Foundation
My day job is helping organizations and the people inside them navigate complex transitions. The same disciplines apply when the change is personal.
Lived Foundation
I learned the Alberta family law system the hard way, by going through it. That experience shapes everything about how this practice runs.
Credentials alone do not make a coach. Lived experience alone does not either. The combination is what builds the kind of guide that actually helps.
Languages Offered
Hard conversations are hard enough. They should not also be a translation exercise. Sessions are available in any of the following.
In Their Words
Shared with written permission and anonymized to protect privacy. More client experiences will be added as consent is gathered.
I started working with Haseena and trusted her with what I had been keeping a secret from my community and family for years. I was lost and did not know what to do. I could not even understand what my lawyer wanted me to do, or what I was signing. Haseena immediately got to work. She established my strategy, and in parallel explained my legal rights to me and how family law actually works. I have a lawyer, and I go to her for a review of all the documents we are working on toward resolution. I make sure I consult her before I take any step in the process. After two years, I finally feel like I am in a position of power, and I do not feel lost. Could not recommend her enough.
